Composition:
Suspension of 25 mg cefquinome per ml (corresponding with 29.64 cefquinome sulphate per ml)

Indications for use:
For the treatment of infection caused by susceptible organisms in cattle and pigs.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins is rare, however cefquinome should not be administered to animals which are known to be hypersensitive to ß-lactam antibiotics.

Dosage and Administration:

SPECIES DOSAGE FREQUENCY
Cattle 1 mg Cefquinome/kg
bodyweight (equivalent to 2ml per 50kg bw)
Daily for 3-5 consecutive days
Pigs 2 mg Cefquinome/kg
bodyweight (equivalent to 2ml per 25kg bw)
Daily for 3 consecutive days

All treatments are to be given by intramuscular injection. Studies have indicated the advisability of giving second and subsequent injections at a different injection site.

Shake the vial well before using.

Withdrawal Period:
Pig: Meat-3 day
Cattle: Milk- 1 day, Meat- 5 days

Storage:
Store at 2°C to 8°C and protect from light.

50 ml multidose vial
